The St Regis Bermuda Resort makes glamorous debut

Featuring architecture and interiors by OBMI, St Regis Hotels & Resorts’ latest outpost combines avant-garde Bermudian influences with the brand’s timeless appeal.
A new beachfront resort is introducing the luxury brand’s celebrated offering to the historic town of St George’s.
Making a mark in Bermuda
The St Regis Bermuda Resort is now open in the town of St George’s, a Unesco World Heritage site, on St Catherine’s Beach. The first luxury Marriott International property on the island, it provides lavish accommodation, high-end amenities and the brand’s signature service.
“Bermuda has long served as an exclusive destination for the global luminaries, making it the ideal location to debut a glamorous new St Regis resort,” said George Fleck, vice president and global brand leader for St Regis Hotels & Resorts. “Much like the island, St Regis is steeped in rich history, offering a storied past and exciting future.
“The St Regis brand’s founding family, the Astors, spent time on this beautiful island more than a century ago. Now, the House of Astor’s celebrated traditions and rituals will bring this visionary spirit, avant-garde style and impeccable service back to Bermuda where our address is your muse.”
Jan Vanhaelewyn, general manager at The St Regis Bermuda Resort, added: “The St Regis Bermuda Resort promises to be an enchanted beachfront oasis for guests and local luminaries alike. With bespoke service, exquisite design, outstanding culinary venues, the historic Five Forts Golf Course, and more than a dash of glamour, we hope to inspire and contribute to the local hospitality landscape and help elevate luxury in this iconic leisure destination.”
Oceanfront luxury lifestyle
Arcing along the shores of St Catherine’s Beach, the hotel reflects its location through the architecture and interiors of OBMI. Inspiration taken from the environment and local culture is woven throughout the glamorous property, which houses 120 guestrooms, including 21 suites and a collection of two- and three-bedroom residences.
Each guestroom incorporates materials, colours and geometry that are informed by the surroundings, along with private balconies and outlooks making the most of the ocean views.
This accommodation is joined by the all-day restaurant, Lina, taking its name from the nickname of St Regis’ founding patroness, Caroline Astor, and offering a light coastal menu in a setting that harks back to yacht clubs of the past. Guests can also choose to dine at BLT Steak NY and pair light bites with signature drinks in St Regis Bar.
On top of this, the resort comprises adult and family pools, the indulgent St Regis Spa, a 24-hour fitness centre and The St Regis Children’s Club. Guests can also take to the 18-hole Five Forts Golf Course and spend an evening at the St Regis brand’s first casino, which is expected to open later this year.
Events are to be hosted in 10,989 sq ft of event space, which encompasses a state-of-the-art boardroom, a ballroom with space for up to 150 people and a terrace for oceanside events.
