The Pavilions peruses Philippines pair

The Pavilions Hotels & Resorts has revealed how two group hotels in El Nido, the Philippines are progressing ready for opening in the next couple of years.

The group stated that construction is in full swing for the double El Nido Beach development, comprising The Pavilions El Nido and Explorar Treehouses El Nido for the company’s Explorar Hotels & Resorts millennials-focused brand.

Eco development

Developed with Manila-headquartered Eureka Resorts Development, the complex will include Eco Town Outlet Village and Eco Town Solar Farm, a fully sustainable solar farm that powers both the resorts and Eco Town with solar power using photovoltaic panels, producing 5 MW of energy while offsetting 10,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide each year.

The development team anticipates the opening of The Pavilions El Nido Phase 1 in 2024 as per the planned construction schedule, with the Explorar El Nido opening slated for 2025.

Adventure pavilions

The Pavilions El Nido will have 92 luxury villas; a dive centre; an adventure park featuring Alpine slides, nature park stairs and rock gardens, fountain ponds, a butterfly garden and cable car; waterfalls; adventure walks; spa and wellness facilities; and dining options.

The resort will feature a mix of one-bedroom and two-bedroom luxury villas, as well as 20 ‘Maldivian styled’ overwater villas – each with their own private plunge pool and direct access to the ocean.

Top treehouses

Explorar El Nido Treehouses will be located on five hectares of unspoiled nature, less than 500 metres from the ocean, and will feature 69 luxury treehouse villas with private plunge pools. The treehouses will have two levels, with the bedroom and ensuite on top and the pool and private living on the ground.

‘Exhale’, a concept where visitors can unwind and refresh, joins Explorar Treehouses El Nido’s nature, spa, wellness, and nutrition retreats. Dedicated co-working facilities called ‘The Exchange’, will also be onsite at this adults-only resort.
