The First Group’s new lifestyle brand, The First Collection, is preparing to make its global debut in Dubai with the launch of a 491-key scheme designed by NORR.

This exciting property will reflect the ambition of The First Collection, which aims to set a new benchmark for hospitality in the UAE.

The creation of a new hotel brand

Due to open in September 2021 within a 40-storey tower housing a mix of guest, dining and leisure facilities, The First Collection Jumeirah Village Circle will boast 491 rooms and suites in total. The four-star hotel has been designed by architectural firm NORR.

“The First Collection Jumeirah Village Circle is one of Dubai’s most exciting new hotel openings of 2021,” said David Thomson, VP of The First Collection Hotels. “The hotel will set new standards for upper-midscale accommodation in the heart of this dynamic, up-and-coming precinct, and thanks to its world-class dining and leisure facilities, will become a popular destination in its own right, befitting the ambitions of The First Collection as a lifestyle-focused brand.”

The property hopes to become one of the precinct’s most sought-after dining destinations. Its F&B options will include Santè Ria, focusing on the flavours of South America; the family-friendly Village Bistro, with à la carte options and an international buffet; and the Terrace Pool, for drinks, snacks and a BBQ on themed nights.

Mark Patten, VP of food & beverage for The First Collection, explained: “One of The First Collection’s brand pillars is that we empower communities and we are going to do just that through our restaurants at the hotel. Jumeirah Village Circle is one of Dubai’s most in-demand residential communities, but has very limited options in terms of licensed, midscale restaurants to cater to the residential supply.

“The restaurants at The First Collection Jumeirah Village Circle will meet this demand in the area by offering exciting dining experiences, great food quality and value for money. In addition to Santè Ria and Village Bistro, there will be an exciting new concept coming soon to the 40th floor, so watch this space.”

A major leisure destination

Guests staying at The First Collection Jumeirah Village Circle will be able to enjoy an impressive array of amenities, including a swimming pool, sundeck and gym, as well as separate male and female spa facilities. The hotel also places guests within easy reach of the city’s top business precincts and leisure attractions, just a 20-minute drive away from the coastline, Downtown Dubai and Dubai South.

George Ghaly has been named the cluster hotel manager for this property and the forthcoming hotel at Dolphin Tower Business Bay, which is expected to open in late 2021.

The First Collection leverages the strengths of The First Group’s portfolio of hotels, restaurants and leisure venues. It promises to set a new benchmark for sophistication in the UAE’s lifestyle-focused hospitality sector, giving guests memorable experiences regardless of whether they choose to stay, dine or just relax onsite.

According to The First Collection, more new hotels will be brought under the brand’s umbrella soon, following the opening of its inaugural property at Jumeirah Village Circle.
