Cambridge’s first Curio Collection by Hilton property, The Fellows House is an apartment-style hotel that caters for both short and long stays in the famous university city.

Locally curated artwork decorates the walls of The Fellows House, which aims to connect hotel guests with the rest of Cambridge.

A new market for Curio Collection

Having made its debut on 1 July 2021, The Fellows House is only the second Cambridge property for Hilton Worldwide – and marks Curio Collection’s entry into the city. A 131-key apartment-style hotel, the scheme is distinguished by its unique character and charm.

“We are thrilled to open this unique property in the historic city of Cambridge,” said Steve Cassidy, managing director in the UK & Ireland for Hilton. “It has something for everyone, offering the perfect base to return to after a long day of exploring, working or studying. As we all look forward to travelling again, we’re delighted to be giving guests more choice, with 14 new properties opening across the UK this year, extending our world-renowned hospitality.”

Julian Hudson, general manager of The Fellows House, Curio Collection by Hilton, added: “The Fellows House is ideal for short city breaks and extended stays, and has been carefully designed to ensure it is accessible to all guests. Situated in the heart of Cambridge, our exciting new opening is ideally located to experience the entire city, alongside offering an indoor spa and courtyard area and a delicious café, restaurant and bar.”

The hotel is located just a short walk from the city centre, River Cam and Jesus Green, among other sights. Curated experiences will introduce guests to these historic surroundings from the perspective of a local.

Designed for short and long stays

Local paintings and sculptures feature throughout the hotel and each room type is named after a notable person associated with the city and its university, from Attenborough to Kipling.

The hotel encompasses king rooms, studios and one-bedroom apartments, as well as Fellows Duplex apartments, which are split across two levels, and the two-bedroom Fellows Family. Each studio and apartment comes with a fully equipped kitchen, ideal for extended stays.

Guests can dine at the hotel’s signature restaurant, The Folio Bar & Kitchen, focusing on British comfort classics and plant-based dishes. Healthy options, as well as freshly baked bread and pastries, are also offered in The Sage of Cambridge, which is a coffee shop by day and a wine and apéritif bar by night.

Additional facilities here include an indoor pool, gym, sauna and steam room. Moreover, guests can hire bicycles and make use of the onsite parking spaces, complete with electric car charging ports.

Events will be hosted in the ten-seat Hawking Suite boardroom, which also acts as an events and private dining space, with direct access to The Fellows Garden and The Observatory.
