Boasting room service by Bugs Bunny himself, the world’s inaugural Warner Bros-branded hotel will allow guests to immerse themselves in TV and film history from next month.

Warner Bros fans are eagerly awaiting the chance to get closer to some cultural icons in the Middle East.

Bringing stories to life

Miral, the UAE-based developer, is collaborating with Warner Bros to create The WB Abu Dhabi on Yas Island. Operated by Hilton Worldwide under the Curio Collection brand, the hotel will bring some of the brand’s most famous stories and characters to life through hospitality.

Families staying at the property, for example, will be able to request room service from Bugs Bunny, star of the much-loved Looney Tunes cartoon series. And they’ll be able to take part in hands-on activities with the inimitable Daffy Duck.

HE Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, chairman of Miral, said: “We are proud to be launching another first with the opening of the only Warner Bros hotel in the world.

“This new story-driven hospitality experience is set to excite guests from all over the world, further reinforcing Yas Island’s position as a global entertainment, leisure and business destination and supporting Abu Dhabi’s ambition to attract greater numbers of local and international tourists. We are delighted to be strengthening our partnership with Warner Bros Themed Entertainment and Hilton with this unique one-of-a kind experience.”

Pam Lifford, president of WarnerMedia Global Brands and Experiences, added: “Opening the doors to the first ever Warner Bros-branded hotel is a moment that we have long dreamed of, and it’s truly magnificent.

“The Warner Bros Themed Entertainment team and our incredible partners at Miral and Hilton designed this with fans in mind and have curated an outstanding hospitality experience that gives guests from around the world a unique way to further connect with the iconic Warner Bros brands, franchises and characters they love. The WB Abu Dhabi truly is the perfect experience to enjoy and relax while visiting Warner Bros World right next door.”

An immersive experience

Digital screens spanning the height of the building will greet guests on arrival with original content, while the legendary Friends fountain can also be found outside.

The WB Abu Dhabi’s 257 guestrooms are being furnished to put storytelling centre stage, with artwork inspired by three themes: From Script to Screen, highlighting moments from movies and shows; Artist Confidential, celebrating talent in Warner Bros productions; and The Vault, featuring rarely seen images from the archives. And the hotel’s culinary offering is to encompass a lobby lounge, internationally inspired restaurant Sidekicks, casual dining option The Matinee, elegant dining experience Director’s Club and lounge The Overlook, complete with panoramic infinity pool.

Leisure amenities here will include a family pool area, fitness centre and spa, a Warner Bros store and a kids’ club. A large ballroom and meeting space, meanwhile, will accommodate events.

“Hilton is proud to be continuing our partnership with Miral as part of the ongoing transformation of Yas Island into a world-class entertainment destination,” said Jochem-Jan Sleiffer, president in the Middle East, Africa and Turkey for Hilton. “We look forward to The WB hotel joining our Curio Collection soon, following on from Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island as the second of our three hotels to be opening on Yas Island with Miral.”
