As Tauzia celebrates its 19th anniversary, the Jakarta-headquartered hotel operator has detailed proposals for a raft of exciting new openings across Asia.
The company revealed its future plans at the Tauzia 19th Anniversary Virtual Press Conference, which took place in September 2020. We take a look at what was discussed.
Tauzia targets sustainable growth
Established in 2001, Tauzia encompasses 133 operating and in-development properties under six lifestyle brands – Préférence, Vertu, Harris, Fox, Yello, and Pop! – and is a member of international lodging owner and operator The Ascott. The Ascott Cares initiative, which was launched in July, is intended to ensure stringent hygiene and cleanliness standards are maintained across the board.
“Adapting to the new reality, our goal is to make sure that our brands are perfectly equipped to sustain Tauzia’s ambitious growth in Indonesia and regionally,” said Marc Steinmeyer, chief executive officer of Tauzia Hotels. “We continue to leverage our strategic partnership with Ascott to create a portfolio well-suited to differing business model requirements, while catering to both long- and short-stay guests.”
Upcoming openings across Asia
This year alone, Tauzia has secured contracts for seven new properties, altogether amounting to more than 1,200 rooms, in Jakarta, Bogor, Bandung and Batam in Indonesia and Phu Nhuan in Vietnam. 2020 has also seen Tauzia open properties in Bangka and Makassar in Indonesia, as well as debut in Papua Province with the opening of Fox Hotel Jayapura Papua.
Meanwhile, October 2020 will see the opening of Harris Hotel Puri Mansion in Jakarta, followed by Pesona Alam Garden View, Yello Hotel Kuta Beach and Yello Hotel Jambi, also in Indonesia, in 2021.
“We are ensuring that our development strategy is in line with the best outcomes for those that are part of the Tauzia family, with the principles of stability, customer focus and network integration,” said Armand Steinmeyer, Tauzia Hotels’ chief of business development. “This development plan will bring into existence the new generations of Vertu, Harris, Yello, and Pop! Hotels, particularly in key destination cities of Java and Bali.
“We are also focused on revitalising a number of hotels with our Fox and Fox Lite brands, breathing new life into existing properties with the integration to our network and revamped brand identity that is in line with Tauzia’s lifestyle concept. Moving forward, we aim to capitalise our growth in South-East Asia by anchoring our developments in key cities of the region such as Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Hanoi, and Manila.”
“We would like to thank our partners, clients, colleagues and guests for their continued support in the past 19 years,” continued Patrick Vaysse, Tauzia Hotels’ chief operating officer. “Tauzia Hotels remains committed to providing comfortable and safe ‘home away from home’ for our guests, as well as to deliver service excellence for a memorable stay experience.”
