The prestigious Tapestry Collection by Hilton brand has debuted in mainland China with the opening of a 266-key hotel that promises to be a perfect match for wine connoisseurs.

The new property, Hollick Hotel Wen’an, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, is inviting guests to experience the nature and wine of China’s Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.

An oenological adventure

Owned by China Green Development Investment Group and managed by Hilton, Hollick Hotel Wen’an aims to take guests on an indulgent journey to discover the local wine and better appreciate the natural surroundings.

The new hotel is located in the expansive Luneng Ecological Zone of Wen’an County. What’s more, it’s only a five-minute drive from a chateau and vineyard, where activities include wine tasting, and opportunities abound to enjoy the great outdoors throughout the seasons while also yachting and fishing on the lake.

Alexandra Jaritz, senior vice president of brand management in Asia Pacific for Hilton, said: “We are thrilled to introduce Tapestry Collection by Hilton to the Chinese mainland with China Green Development Investment Group to deliver such an original experience.

“Tapestry Collection hotels aim to inspire travellers to embrace the locale beyond the four walls of the hotels. I am confident that Hollick Hotel Wen’an will deliver just that, providing guests who are looking for reliability and value a memorable, one-of-a-kind experience.”

William Wu, general manager of Hollick Hotel Wen’an, added: “Hollick Hotel Wen’an is a unique destination for adventure seekers. The recent pandemic has given travellers time to reflect on the things they want to experience in life, and for many people the answer is more experiences in nature. We encourage our guests to use their time during the stay to relax, recharge and reconnect with themselves by indulging in the natural beauty of the Wen’an County.”

Hospitality that’s inspired by its surroundings

The hotel houses 226 guestrooms, which are distinguished by a contemporary Mediterranean style and lake or garden views. Eco-friendly materials and a calming palette of neutral tones feature throughout.

Meanwhile, Hollick Lounge takes inspiration from the location’s connection to wine and makes the most of its lake views with floor-to-ceiling glass. Here, specialty wines made from estate-grown fruit include Hollick the Brad Merlot and Hollick Wilgha Shiraz.

The all-day dining restaurant Merlot serves signature dishes like a twist on traditional pizza and a red wine-infused dessert, while The Magpie Tree Club lounge offers light bites, drinks and billiards. Additional facilities within the hotel include a fitness centre and a 200 sq m meeting space catering for social gatherings as well as business meetings.

The stylish property is adjacent to the developing Xiongan New Area and around 90km from Beijing Daxing International Airport.
