The Yucatan Resort Playa del Carmen on Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula has become the Tapestry Collection by Hilton brand’s first all-inclusive resort.

Virginia-headquartered hospitality giant Hilton Worldwide has bolstered its ranks with the launch of an adults-only scheme in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.

A milestone Tapestry Collection property

The first all-inclusive resort in Tapestry Collection by Hilton’s portfolio has now made its debut on Playa del Carmen’s famed Fifth Avenue. This stylish hotel is owned by FibraHotel and operated by an affiliate of Playa Hotels & Resorts.

“We are thrilled to introduce the first Tapestry Collection resort to this extraordinary tropical destination,” said Manuel Villalobos, general manager of The Yucatan Resort Playa del Carmen. “Guests are in for a memorable stay thanks to Playa’s unique all-inclusive offerings and incredible location, combined with the trust and reliability of the Hilton name.”

Gary Steffen, global category head of full service brands for Hilton, added: “As we continue to expand our all-inclusive portfolio, we are excited to officially welcome The Yucatan Resort Playa del Carmen to Tapestry Collection and offer guests a new and unique resort option.

“Whether unwinding at the property’s picturesque rooftop pool, enjoying an authentically local meal or exploring Riviera Maya’s rich history and culture, The Yucatan Resort Playa del Carmen offers a wide variety of amenities and activities to travellers looking for that one-of-a-kind stay experience.”

The full all-inclusive experience

The Yucatan Resort Playa del Carmen, Tapestry Collection by Hilton comprises 60 sophisticated guestrooms and suites, with interiors that combine neutral tones with pops of colours and contemporary decor. The accommodation is complemented by a variety of amenities, including a spa offering a range of rejuvenating treatments, as well as a lively rooftop pool and bar.

By opting for the All-Inclusive+ package, guests also gain access to a private beach with water sports, a spa and several pools, which are all located 500 metres away at sister hotel Hilton Playa del Carmen.

Onsite dining options at the four-storey resort include Sakura Maru Sushi Bar, specialising in Nikkei cuisine, and La Terraza Snack Bar, serving up authentic tacos, fresh seafood and seasonal cocktails.

The resort town of Playa del Carmen is located on Mexico’s Riviera Maya, which boasts abundant shopping and entertainment alongside several beaches and world-class golf courses. Nearby sights include a host of Mayan ruins and Rio Secreto Nature Reserve.
