Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced the opening of a 216-key property, featuring interiors by Parts and Labor Design, under the Thompson Hotels brand in the Mile High City.

This exciting new lifestyle hotel pairs the brand’s signature modern aesthetic with upscale mountain chalet inspiration and vibrant dining and drinking options.

Reflecting the locale

The 216-key newbuild Thompson Denver is now inviting guests into a scheme boasting the locally inspired interiors of Parts + Labor Design. Owned by T2 Hospitality, this boutique property brings the Thompson Hotels brand’s modern take on luxury to the heart of the Mile High City.

Highlights of this luxurious space include a signature restaurant by Chef Ludo Lefebvre, Chez Maggy, and a sixth-floor sunroom bar and lounge with a seasonal cocktail programme, Reynard Social, along with event rooms named after some of Denver’s most notorious early citizens. The property further reflects local culture through its guest offering and design, and is conveniently located for attractions such as the 16th Street Promenade and Coors Field.

Amanda Parsons, area vice president and general manager at Thompson Denver, said: “We’re incredibly excited to open our doors and provide a dynamic hotel and culinary experience to world travellers and the community in the Mile High City.

“Our entry into Denver marks a pivotal moment for the Thompson Hotels brand, and we’re thrilled to collaborate with internationally acclaimed Chef Ludo Lefebvre to support the anticipated opening of Chez Maggy. Guests of Thompson Denver can expect the refined and curated service the Thompson Hotels brand is known for, alongside thoughtful design, inspired food and drinks, and programming that is distinctly Denver.”

A new social hub

A sense of place has been instilled through the use of wood, copper and stone, alongside elements of classic chalet-style design and artwork adorning the walls. Moreover, a two-storey hearth fireplace extends from the lobby down to the social space below.

This style runs through the guestrooms and suites, which all come with Sferra bedding, DS & Durga bath amenities, a curated honour bar and a minifridge with local artisan products. The 1,032 sq ft Thompson Suite also features living and dining space, a terrace and a two-sided indoor / outdoor fireplace.

Notable amenities within the property include a private dining space and bar, a lobby-level café and retail space, event space centred around the two-storey hearth fireplace and a 24-hour fitness centre. And Chez Maggy, Chef Ludo Lefebvre’s inaugural concept outside LA – and first in a hotel – offers cuisine blending the chef’s signature French style with hyperlocal inspiration in a 90-seat brasserie-style space that’s open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

“I’ve long hoped to open a restaurant in Denver, and it was a natural fit to team up with Thompson Denver, part of a brand known to cultivate culture and inspire all who walk through its doors,” said Lefebvre.

“My wife grew up here and we visit often, so I’ve always considered Denver a second home and knew it would be the perfect place to open my first restaurant outside of Los Angeles. Chez Maggy is especially personal to me since the menu features dishes inspired by my childhood in France, and the overall concept is a deeply special tribute to my family.”

Completing the experience, Thompson Denver is collaborating with local turntable manufacturer Victrola to provide in-room music, as well as the communal Victrola Listening Lounge, featuring the all-new T1 Turntable and a selection of vinyl.
