Opening its doors in September 2020, the Hard Rock Hotel is nestled in the heart of Budapest in one of the city’s most beautiful buildings. Rebuilt in 2018, after the previous building was demolished, the interior of the 136-room hotel was purposefully designed to reflect the bustling Broadway neighbourhood of theatres and bars.

Bringing the rock-star experience to life for guests, the interior décor perfectly balances a sleek, modern style with zen minimalism. A selection of Tarkett flooring collections was used throughout to create a standout interior design scheme that was in keeping with the bold theme traditionally adopted by the hospitality chain.

Barcelona-based Lázáro Rosa-Violán Studio worked alongside Tarkett to develop a bespoke design of the Desso Gravure broadloom. Installed throughout the hallways, this carpet range combines innovative printing technology with premium quality, meeting the luxury comfort requirements from guests, as well as providing bright pops of colour for a contemporary and playful aesthetic.

Elsewhere, in the hotel suites and gym, the iD Click Ultimate 70 LVT collection was installed (over the original choice of laminate flooring) for its high-quality, technical benefits as well as the on-trend colour palette. Featuring a rigid core composite, this LVT range is quick and easy to install, reducing the construction time of the project. Boasting premium durability, the range is fully waterproof and has Soundblock acoustic backing for up to 19 dB sound absorption, ideally suited to hotel environments where quiet spaces are key to guest comfort and satisfaction.

For an added level of comfort and interest, the hotel rooms featured Desso Bonaparte Vintage rugs. Combining eye-catching patterns with contemporary colours, these rugs bring a vintage style to a modern setting. And with the bold tone contrasting with the warm undertones of the selected LVT shade, this daring addition further added to the eclectic signature style of the Hard Rock Hotel.
