St. Regis Hotels & Resorts promises a new level of luxury on Florida’s Gulf Coast with the summer opening of this highly anticipated property, for which bookings are now open.

St. Regis Longboat Key Resort is the only St.Regis hotel to launch in the U.S. this year. This beachfront property is the largest development on the barrier island in over 50 years.

Beachfront luxury

On opening this summer, St. Regis Longboat Key Resort will welcome guests into an 18-acre beachfront paradise that makes Longboat Key a must-visit destination for luxury travellers. The resort is developed by Unicorp and designed by SB Architects, Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA Miami) and Dutch East Design.

“This is not just another hotel opening; it represents a new era in luxury travel to the Gulf Coast,” said Winfred van Workum, General Manager at The St. Regis Longboat Key Resort. “Longboat Key is a rare beach locale that boasts an understated elegance, unparalleled natural beauty and rich cultural heritage all in one place.”

The hotel’s interiors have been designed by HBA to draw on the natural elements of the destination. References to the sea, sand, waves and wildlife, along with Sarasota’s historical legacy of performing arts culture, will be seen in interiors also defined by their coastal views and abundance of artwork including two impressive mosaics.

A coastal sanctuary

The hotel will be home to 168 guest rooms, including 26 terraced suites, with ocean views and amenities including a rainfall shower, freestanding bathtub and spacious walk-in closet. The four-bedroom presidential suite is designed with a residential feel and has an impressive terrace for sunset views.

The resort comes with 800ft of private white-sand beach, multiple swimming pools with cabanas, a winding river with cascading waterfalls, and the private ‘grotto’ with Jacuzzi jets and a button to press for champagne. Other highlights include an under the sea lagoon wildlife reserve connecting guests with the natural world.

Other amenities here span a 20,000-sq-ft St. Regis Spa with expansive hydrothermal area and Relaxation Lounge overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. There will be a total of seven culinary venues on site including The St. Regis Bar, also considered the resort’s living room, and the hotel’s signature restaurant, CW Prime.

The Spirit Room will provide a speakeasy experience and Riva will offer coastal Italian dining. The open-air pool grill Aura will serve Latin American fare and the rooftop lounge Oshen will specialise in elevated cocktails and seafood-focused small plates with Japanese and Peruvian influence. Monkey Bar will serve tiki cocktails and the hotel’s cafe Caroline’s will offer breakfast and all-day refreshments.

For meetings and celebrations, the resort will encompass more than 34,000 sq ft of event space.
