Hospitality giant Hilton Worldwide has grown its footprint in Turkey with the opening of the country’s first LXR-branded property, which boasts a private beach, world-class spa and gourmet F&B venues.

Susona Bodrum has now opened its doors under the prestigious LXR Hotels & Resorts flag, welcoming guests to a chic destination on Turkey’s Aegean Coast.

We find out more about this stunning property and how it invites visitors to dive into the area’s beautiful natural surroundings.

A relaxing wellness haven in Bodrum

Set only six kilometres from Downtown Bodrum, the newly opened Susona Bodrum features 76 luxurious guest rooms, suites and villas with spectacular ocean views and maritime-themed interiors.

Dining options include the Frankie Beach Club and Malva Restaurant, which invite guests on a gastronomic journey around Turkey while enjoying unparalleled views of Bodrum’s seascapes. Meanwhile, rooftop venue Ezi serves up a rich breakfast and offers panoramic vistas, and Family Beach caters to health-conscious guests with a selection of fresh fruit juices and homemade iced tea.

Over at the property’s elegant Spa Soul, expert staff analyse guest’s needs before prescribing a set of carefully curated treatments inspired by traditional local practices and using natural ingredients. There is also a private beach perfect for sunbathing and a 24/7 gym fitted with the latest TechnoGym equipment.

“Hilton has a rich history in Turkey, which was home to our very first hotel outside of the US more than 60 years ago,” said Simon Vincent, executive vice president and president, EMEA at Hilton. “With the coastal town of Bodrum providing fantastic facilities and breathtaking views, it is the perfect spot for us to expand our portfolio, and we couldn’t be happier to be opening our first LXR Hotels & Resorts property in the country.”

A new member of the LXR family

The opening of Susona Bodrum marks the launch of Hilton’s LXR brand, a collection of independent luxury hotels, in Turkey.

Named after a legendary sea creature, Susona reflects LXR’s promise of offering a unique travel experience that immerses guests in their surroundings, local culture and traditions. Indeed, hosts at the property have been trained to curate personalised trips for visitors, like visits to local wineries, carpet makers or leather-sandal workshops.

“Each hotel selected to join the LXR collection is handpicked for its ability to offer a truly profound travel experience and a unique window into a world-class destination,” said Feisal Jaffer, global head, LXR Hotels & Resorts. “With its tranquil location, commitment to personalised service, and exciting dining venues, the Susona Bodrum is ideal for travellers seeking a luxurious getaway.”
