Featuring stylish design by Gabellini Sheppard, the 186-key Tetra Hotel, Autograph Collection in the attractive Californian city of Sunnyvale is now up and running.

This newly opened property in Sunnyvale, California promises to deliver an elevated hospitality experience with the help of multiple F&B outlets and a heated outdoor pool.

A new hotel complex

Tetra Hotel, Autograph Collection places guests just minutes away from Norman Y Mineta San Jose International Airport and close to a range of attractions, including Levi’s Stadium, Shoreline Amphitheatre and Santa Clara Convention Center. This scheme forms part of the Tetra leisure hub, alongside sister property AC Hotel by Marriott Sunnyvale Moffett Park.

Connecting both hotels is the Nexus, an indoor-outdoor communal space featuring the sculptures of artist David Franklin and three dining areas with popup activations. A partnership with Content Magazine, moreover, opens up the prospect of hosting events such as fireside chats.

The hotel in Sunnyvale, California has been designed by Gabellini Sheppard to provide an elevated but understated space, blending the indoors and outdoors with natural materials and modern finishes. Guests first enter a reception area boasting a large, communal, live-edge wood table, and are met with modern art installations throughout the property.

“At Tetra Hotel, guests will experience a tranquil escape just minutes from the heart of Silicon Valley – a place to disconnect from routines and reconnect with what matters,” said general manager Mike Lerman. “You’ll take a deep breath of relief upon walking through the doors, and that feeling carries through as you enjoy the onsite amenities and the comfort of the hotel’s natural and modern finishes.

“Tetra Hotel is poised to become a favourite destination for travellers of all kinds, a welcoming spot for South Bay locals to enjoy dinner or a drink, and a bustling venue for business meetings and unique programming.”

An upscale lifestyle hub

The new hotel has 186 serene guestrooms, including 14 suites, with luxury amenities including MiN NY bath products, Dyson Supersonic hair dryers, Bellino Fine Linen jersey knit hooded robes, a bathroom that’s enclosed by a glass box, and an open and integrated floating closet, desk and bench. The light palette contrasts neatly with accent colours and textures such as leather and nickel wood.

During their stay, guests can retreat to the outdoor heated pool, which is surrounded by olive trees, and make use of a fitness centre featuring Peloton bikes. Additional facilities here include onsite parking, complimentary electric car charging stations and valet service.

The hotel dining experience, meanwhile, is headlined by Adrestia, a signature restaurant where executive chef Hideki Myo creates an eclectic Californian menu with Asian influences and Japanese ingredients. There’s also Japanese whisky bar Nokori, and café and retail experience Coffee Manufactory.

Last but not least, events will be hosted in 9,000 sq ft of meeting and function space, encompassing flexible lounge spaces with cutting-edge mobile technology.
