Shaw Contract Launches Fine Rugs Made In Asia
Just this month, Shaw Contract launched Exquisite Impression, their premier running line rug offering set to time-sensitive hospitality projects in Asia. Their design team had handpicked 21 exquisite patterns in a total of 408 colorways suitable for a diverse range of applications, especially when combined with their hard surface collections
The designs come in standard sizes 6’x9′ and 6’x4′, but customized rug lengths are available on request. All styles are ready for shipment in six-seven week lead time from their LEED-certified manufacturing facility located in Nantong, China.
Below are our editorial team’s top 5 favorite picks from the catalog.
Tactile rug in color Overdye
Tactile is a literal translation of a knitted sweater that makes the intent of the product obvious – warmth, comfort, texture. This style is part of the larger Haven collection, which reimagines home as a mood, an idea, a quality of comfort and familiarity that feeds our instinctual desire to feel grounded in the world.
Water Moss in color Moss
Water Moss examines and recreates the stunning details of photographed layered moss. It is part of the larger Off The Grid collection.
Form rug in color Alabaster Gold
Form is an interpretation of a design that highlight organic natural metallic veining. It is part of the larger Noble Materials collection, which takes inspiration from sacred geometry found in luxurious natural materials like gold, marble or stone.
Lamella rug in color Coast
Lamella looks at the micro details of floral patterns juxtaposed against layered forest background. It is part of the larger Off The Grid collection.
Still Life rug in color Nocturn Magenta
Baroque florals, photo-real subject matter, the endless dark palette of the Dutch masters and edgy florals in menswear unapologetically take focus in Still Life. This style is part of the larger Emergence collection, which is inspired by the transition between light and darkness.
