Secrets Mallorca Villamil Resort & Spa reopens after $3.5-million renovation

It marks the first Secrets Resorts & Spas to debut in Europe, as well as the latest milestone for the company’s continued European expansion campaign.
Currently, the property is owned and operated under Hesperia Hotels & Resorts, which is one of Spain’s leading hotel groups.
A strong partnership
The partnership between AMResorts and Hesperia Hotels & Resorts is a strong one, likely to bring great benefits for all parties involved, a fact ALG’s leadership very much appreciates.

The strong partnership is helping to make the Secrets brand more robust. The Secrets Mallorca Villamil Resort & Spa is the brand’s 16th total property under the Secrets Resorts & Spas umbrella, which has locations spread throughout Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica and Mexico.
By the end of the year, ALG and Hesperia Hotels & Resorts plan to launch Secrets Lanzarote Resort & Spa.
The scoop on the Secrets Mallorca Villamil Resort & Spa
Once the $3.5-million renovation of Secrets Mallorca Villamil Resort & Spa is complete, the property will feature 162 refurbished rooms and suites, the vast majority of which will boast breath-taking views overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.
Select suites will also offer direct access to a new, exclusive swim-up pool. In addition to that, guests can enjoy two sunrooms, one of which will be set aside for Preferred Club guests.
“We are thrilled to debut the first Secrets’ branded resort in Mallorca, one of Spain’s most popular destinations,” said Javier Aguila, President of ALG’s European Division.
“With this new resort management deal, we reaffirm our strong commitment to this new market and take another step towards our goal of becoming a key player in the region’s luxury all-inclusive sector.”
