Eastwind Lake Placid, which is gearing up to open its doors in late spring 2022, aims to become a year-round boutique retreat for visitors to the Adirondacks in New York State.

Just like its sister property, the new hotel will offer a variety of refined dining experiences.

A connection to nature

Set to open in late spring 2022, Eastwind Lake Placid in New York State will soon welcome guests into a new space close to the popular tourist destination’s lively Main Street, with 26 design-led accommodations connecting them with nature.

Taking over a site previously occupied by a 1950s motor inn, this new hotel will span five buildings on 2.8 acres of land along the Chubb River. It represents the second Eastwind property from founders Bjorn Boyer, Julija Stoliarova and Dan Cipriani, following in the wake of the brand’s inaugural scheme in the Catskills.

Outdoor experiences

Guests staying here will be accommodated in luxury cabins and one standalone two-bedroom residence featuring postmodern inspiration and vintage Scandinavian design. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the indoor and outdoor experiences on offer will be geared towards design and outdoor enthusiasts.

Among the amenities being promised are a pool, which is due to open in late summer; a spa; a vintage library; saunas; and a communal fire pit. Guests will also be able to make use of bike and skate rental, as well as weekly programming including live music, yoga and Pilates classes.

The hotel’s F&B programme will range from breakfast baskets, bar bites and sandwiches from the reception bar to seasonal outdoor meals cooked over an open-flame Argentinian grill. A former blacksmith shop-turned-bar and lounge is then expected to open in the autumn.
