The 200-room new-build hotel in Melbourne is slated to make its debut in 2024 and will be a central part of a new multi-use precinct in the vibrant suburb of Ringwood.

Officials have announced the signing of a second AC Hotel by Marriott, this one to be in Melbourne.

The AC Melbourne, Ringwood is a new-build hotel slated to make its debut in 2024. The 200-room property will have a valuable location in Melbourne’s growing outer eastern suburbs and will be developed by Melbourne-based Sunstone Projects.

This announcement marks the second signing of AC Hotels by Marriott in Australia after the AC Hotel by Marriott Melbourne, Southbank, which made its debut in 2018.

A new wave of expansion

AC Hotel by Marriott Melbourne, Ringwood is not just a singular property opening though.

It’s also a property that exemplifies a new wave of expansion for Marriott International in Australia, outside the well-established CBD centres and into emerging metropolitan destinations, such as Ringwood.

The timing is great for this move. Australia, in general, has seen a rise in domestic travel as well as travel to destinations outside its main cities, thereby driving demand for quality hospitality accommodations in regional and suburban areas.

Victoria, of course, is no exception, which makes the development of the new property an exciting one to watch in Ringwood.

A peek inside the new hotel

The new hotel, of course, will be loaded with amenities and features.

200 well-appointed guest rooms, including 5 suites each embody a purposeful, simplistic and elegant design

Three state-of-the-art meeting venues spanning a total of 354 square metres can cater for events of all types, making this a great hotel for both business and leisure guests.

F&B venues will include a casual all-day-dining restaurant offering a menu with European and Spanish flair which pays homage to the AC Hotels by Marriott brand’s Spanish roots. The hotel bar features a selection of food and drinks throughout the day and an inviting venue to unwind in the evening. Finally, a grab-and-go store provides guests with refreshments at all hours.

A heated indoor pool and a fully equipped gym are available to guests looking to maintain their fitness and wellness routines while they’re out on the road.

Once it opens, the AC Hotel by Marriott Melbourne, Ringwood will be a central component to the East End, a new, architecturally designed residential, work and lifestyle precinct positioned east of Melbourne’s CBD, at the gateway to Victoria’s striking Dandenong Mountains and the celebrated Yarra Valley wineries.
