Hyatt Hotels Corporation is to give a multi-million dollar overhaul to its site on San Francisco’s waterfront.

Hyatt Regency San Francisco in the US city’s Embarcadero district will undergo guestroom enhancement, expected to complete by the end of this month.

Welcoming redesign

The project is being managed by design firm Looney & Associates and the hotel will remain open during the renovation process.

The complete transformation of the hotel’s guestrooms and suites will include spacious floor-to-ceiling windows spanning waterfront or city views. The new design features a colour palette of neutral cool tones ranging from light greys to navy blues enhanced by natural light to provide a bright and welcoming atmosphere.

Hi-tech additions

Each revamped guestroom will feature new beds and platform bed frames with integrated sconces, up-lighting, internal power units and motion-activated night lights at the bed base. New contemporary furniture in every guestroom includes an 84-inch chaise lounge chair, stone surface desks, wood coffee tables that double as working desks and oversized wall-mounted high-definition televisions.

Additional updates include new plush carpet accented by porcelain tile in the entryway and bathroom. The guestroom bathrooms will offer new spacious showers, rainfall showerheads, stone countertops and large 44-inch vanity mirrors with internal lighting. Rooms will also feature updated patio furniture and artwork designed by local artists. Select king rooms will feature ceiling-mounted serenity sliding doors that separate the sleeping areas from the entryways and bathrooms for additional privacy and relaxation.

Modern and sophisticated

Furthermore, the hotel’s elevators and atrium corridors will be updated with new carpeting, vinyl wall coverings and fresh paint to bring a modern and sophisticated design throughout the property.

Stuart Evans, director of sales and marketing at Hyatt Regency San Francisco, said: “The updated guestrooms are designed to highlight our distinctive waterfront location while providing a modern and sophisticated experience with direct access to all of the city’s attractions, entertainment and vibrant culture.”
