Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has announced its first property in the Dominican Republic, Rosewood Punta Cana, in partnership with Grupo Puntacana.

Beachfront resort

Set to open in 2029, the new resort will mark a significant addition to Rosewood’s global portfolio and its growing Caribbean collection.

Rosewood Punta Cana will be situated on 50 acres of prime real estate, including 400 meters of untouched beachfront.

The property will offer 78 suites, including several overwater villas. Food and beverage options will include eight distinctive dining venues. These will range from a speciality restaurant to a destination bar to a beach grill.

There will also be an expansive wellness centre with six treatment rooms, a hair and nail salon, a dedicated retail space, a juice bar, an outdoor swimming pool and a state-of-the-art fitness studio.

The property will further feature a fully serviced beach, an outdoor sports facility, indoor and outdoor event spaces, and a children’s club.

The hotel will be located within the Puntacana Resort, a 15,000-acre master-planned community comprising luxury residences, resorts, retail, and recreational facilities.

Caribbean growth

The resort will be just ten minutes from Punta Cana Airport, which welcomes direct flights from gateway cities across the United States, South and Latin America, Canada and Europe.

“The Dominican Republic is a tropical paradise that celebrates the diversity of Caribbean culture,” said Radha Arora, President of Rosewood Hotels & Resorts.

“Long renowned for its beautiful beaches, world-class golf courses, and high-end residences and resorts, we are eager to bring Rosewood’s unique approach to the island and set a new benchmark for luxury hospitality in the region.”
