Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek appoints new MD

Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek, a beloved Texas landmark, has announced the appointment of Scott Wallen as its new Managing Director.

Rosewood veteran

A seasoned hospitality leader with a distinguished career across the Rosewood Hotels & Resorts portfolio, Wallen brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of luxury operations, particularly in food and beverage. 

“Scott has been an integral part of the Rosewood team for the past nine years, and we are thrilled to promote him to this new role at Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek, the birthplace of the Rosewood Hotels & Resorts collection,” said Radha Arora, President of Rosewood Hotels & Resorts. 

“His extensive experience, dedication to hospitality and passion for preserving the rich legacy of the hotel make him the ideal leader to guide our team and property.”

Wallen’s journey with Rosewood Hotels & Resorts began nine years ago at Rosewood London, where he successfully directed the strategic and financial operations of the property’s acclaimed food and beverage program. 

Honouring Rosewood’s legacy

Most recently, he served as Hotel Manager at Rosewood Sand Hill in Menlo Park, California, an award-winning haven in Silicon Valley.

Before joining Rosewood, Wallen honed his skills as Director of Food and Beverage at the prestigious Baccarat Hotel and Residences in New York City and with the Capella Hotel Group in the United States and Singapore.

“I am honored and delighted to step into this new role at such an iconic property that holds great meaning and prestige for the Rosewood brand,” said Scott Wallen.

“For more than 40 years, Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek has played an integral role in developing the fabric of this city, and I look forward to building on that legacy while ensuring we continue to deliver world-class service expected by our guests and the Dallas community.”

Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek was originally built in 1925 as a palatial private residence, the property retains an intimate ambiance with 16th-century Italian Renaissance style and rich European architecture.
