Rocco Forte Hotels to launch five-star hotel in Naples

Rocco Forte Hotels has signed a management agreement with fashion company Capri Group for the Palazzo Sirignano hotel in Naples.

The new five-star hotel by Rocco Forte is expected to open in 2027. The property will be located in Palazzo Caravita di Sirignano, which lies adjacent to Villa Pignatelli museum.

A new landmark hotel for the city

The signing of a management agreement for this hotel comes after the 2018 acquisition of this property by the owners of fashion brands Gutteridge and Alcott, the Colella family, whose ambition it’s been to create a hotel matching the individuality and charm of Naples.

Nunzio Colella, CEO of Capri Group, commented: “I am proud to offer my city a luxury destination under the Rocco Forte Hotels brand and designed by the architectural star Michele Bönan.”

“It will be a top-notch experience that will elevate Neapolitan hospitality to the level of major international cities. I thank Sir Rocco Forte, the Superintendency, the Municipality of Naples, and all our partners who will make this dream come true.”

Grand renovation plans

The building this hotel will occupy, Palazzo Caravita di Sirignano, was previously a noble residence. When it was built in 1535, it was the first palace on the Riviera di Chiaia and one that was inhabited by dynasties such as the Bourbons and the Princes of Sirignano.

The restoration of this site will be led by globally acclaimed architect Michele Bönan. In its new life as a Rocco Forte hotel, the property will house 46 spacious suites, a rooftop with panoramic pool, two restaurants, a bar, a large spa and private gardens.

Commenting on the plans, Sir Rocco Forte said: “I am honoured to be opening a Rocco Forte hotel in such a fascinating building in Naples. We bring the experience of three generations of hospitality and the impeccable service for which Rocco Forte Hotels is known worldwide. I thank Nunzio Colella for his trust and am excited to embark on this new adventure together.”
