Ritz-Carlton rises in New Cairo

Marriott International has inked an agreement with Palm Hills Developments to open a new Ritz-Carlton hotel in New Cairo, Egypt.

The Ritz-Carlton Cairo, Palm Hills deal is aimed at signalling Marriott’s commitment to strengthening its portfolio of properties across its luxury brands in Egypt.

State-of-the-art facilities

Scheduled to open in 2027, the luxury property is expected to include 150 guestrooms and 50 one-, two- and three-bedroom serviced apartments.

Comprehensive facilities are anticipated to include five dining destinations, a spa, fitness centre, pool, children’s club and state-of-the-art meeting and event facilities.

Mixed use site

Part of Palm Hills, a luxury mixed use community in the suburbs of West Cairo, the hotel has views of the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Palm Hills Golf Course.

The Palm Hills West Cairo development will consist of residential, commercial, extended dining offerings and entertainment areas.

Sought-after destination

Prominent collaborator

New in north Africa

Marriott International is also developing another luxury site in New Cairo: the 350-key W Cairo, which will be part of the 300,000 sq m 1-Ninety mixed use development featuring retail space, commercial and residential components. Delivery is slated for Q1 2026.

Over in northwestern Africa, the group’s luxury endeavours are continuing with St Regis Marrakech Resort in Morocco. Part of the Assoufid Golf Resort, the hotel will have 96 spacious rooms and villas when it arrives in Q3 2024.
