Stunning Ritz-Carlton hotel opens in Pune

Ritz-Carlton has long been a name synonymous with luxury, so it’s no surprise that its latest offering is a stunningly designed hotel in an enviable destination. The Ritz-Carlton Pune will be the second hotel by the iconic brand to open in India, this time in the historic city of Pune.

It will offer visitors a unique hospitality experience with a level of luxury not often seen in this part of India. Pune is the ideal destination for a hotel of this kind, given its own history of exquisite architecture and urban design.

“We are delighted to bring the legendary service of The Ritz-Carlton to Pune, a city that blends the splendour of the past with the pulse of the present, and the promise of the future,” said Lisa Holladay, Global Brand Leader for The Ritz-Carlton.

“Through locally inspired design, culinary offerings and programming, The Ritz-Carlton, Pune will create an experience that is authentic to the city, facilitating a deeper connection between our guests and the destination.”

Features and amenities at the Ritz-Carlton Pune

The hotel offers guests 198 guest rooms and 35 suites, each of which has been thoughtfully designed and executed to be comfortable and relaxing, providing visitors with an urban sanctuary.

The 25,000 sqft (2,300 sqm) wellness centre and yoga deck will give guests the opportunity to stay fit while on holiday. Rest and relaxation are paramount at the state-of-the-art spa, which employs traditional Indian treatments and remedies for maximum rejuvenation.

There are also several dining options, including gourmet world cuisine at the Three Kitchens and Bar, Japanese restaurant Ukiyo, a tea lounge, a bar and grill and cocktail bar.

Neeraj Govil, Senior Vice President, South Asia at Marriott International, said, “We are extremely pleased to debut The Ritz-Carlton in the evolving city of Pune, and expand our portfolio in major destinations in India.”

“Pune is a top choice for affluent travellers and international tourists seeking enriching experiences, and this opening reflects our continued commitment to provide those travellers with opportunities to explore destinations like Pune,” Govil elaborated.
