Eye-catching photos have been released ahead of the opening of a 145-key hotel featuring guestrooms by Rani Ahluwalia of Key Interior and Designs in partnership with Ica.

Excitement is building around the forthcoming debut of a Curio Collection-branded property near St Paul’s Cathedral.

What will guests find in Lost Property?

Following an ambitious renovation of an existing property in the heart of the UK capital, Lost Property St Paul’s London, Curio Collection by Hilton will open its doors in spring 2022. Now the team behind the project have unveiled the first interior shots from the fit-out, showing exactly how its guestrooms, bathrooms and public areas will look.

The elegant guestrooms feature geometric flooring and vibrantly patterned upholstery with art deco-style wall decorations and brass trims. Bathrooms carry the art deco theme through to the mirror and accompanying side lights, complemented by modern wall-hung toilets, recessed washbasins and cutting-edge showers. And the public areas include London-inspired contemporary artworks, hardwearing carpets and carefully positioned spotlights.

Within easy reach of St Paul’s

Lost Property, which is owned and is being developed by Dominvs Group, will incorporate 145 guestrooms, a bar, a restaurant and a café. It’s located just 100 m from St Paul’s Cathedral on Ludgate Hill, and rooms facing north and east will benefit from impressive views of London’s iconic landmark.

Patrick Fitzgibbon, senior vice president, development, EMEA, Hilton, said: “St Paul’s Cathedral is internationally recognised as one of London’s most treasured landmarks, and Lost Property St Paul’s London, Curio Collection by Hilton will provide the perfect base from which to explore the capital. Dominvs Group have been exceptional partners, and we’re pleased to be growing our central London portfolio with this elegant addition.”

A collaboration between Key and Ica

Spread across the hotel’s six floors, the rooms are being designed by Rani Ahluwalia, creative director of Key Interior and Designs, in partnership with Ica. Dominvs Group is overseeing the sensitive refurbishment of the building’s grade II-listed grey stone façade.

Ahluwalia said: “I’m delighted to finally reveal the inside of this beautiful new hotel. Over the last two years, we sought to create a hotel with its own personality; an elegant, modern space combined with a sophisticated and comfortable finish. Curio Collection by Hilton is renowned for its stunning bespoke and appealing interiors, and we have found the balance that complements the historical traditional exterior of the building.”

Ashley McCabe, lead interior designer at Ica, added: “St Paul’s Cathedral is such an iconic location and its presence dictates that this hotel needs to be a very special place. In a counterpoint to the grand civic architecture of St Paul’s, Lost Property is on a very human scale, a stylish and intimate retreat from the busy boulevard outside. The interior will provide the guests with a journey through quirky, unexpected spaces, finding themselves lost in the moment.”
