Residence Inn celebrates its hattrick in Mexico

Extended-stay hotel brand Residence Inn by Marriott has successfully opened its third Mexican property – a 149-room scheme in the popular resort town of Playa del Carmen.

Latin America’s extended-stay market continues to grow rapidly, with Residence Inn by Marriott Playa del Carmen the latest addition to its ranks.

Stay for longer with Residence Inn

Located on the Federal Highway Cancún, the new 149-key Residence Inn by Marriott Hotel provides an ideal base for travellers looking to spend a little longer in one of Mexico’s biggest tourism hotspots. Each suite is spacious and flexible, with convenient access to some of the country’s most spectacular beaches.

Arturo Cruz, sales director of Residence Inn by Marriott Playa del Carmen, said: “Cancún and Playa del Carmen continue to be top destination choices for national and international travellers visiting Mexico. The region has become an aviation hub attracting top-of-the-line tourism and hospitality investments, a key driver in the growth of the region.

“Previously, there were no longer-stay hotel options in the area, so our new hotel comes just at the right time. Conveniently located 58 km from the Cancún airport, our guests have the option of enjoying the beaches, dining in a relaxed setting, and soaking in the comfort of our expansive suites so they can feel right at home.”

Key features and amenities

The design of the pet-friendly property has been carefully considered to create a home-away-from-home environment, with the utmost comfort and flexibility incorporated into its 149 suites. Fully fitted kitchens allow guests to make the food they would eat at home, while the clear separation between living and sleeping areas means work can be put to one side when the day is over.

Groceries can be delivered to the hotel through a complimentary delivery service, and the 24-hour The Market has everything guests need, including a full range of grab-and-go options. There’s also a fitness centre, swimming pool and 54 sq m of meeting and event space.
