Marriott International has celebrated the opening of its first Residence Inn-branded property in Mexico, with the launch of a 151-room extended-stay hotel in Mérida on the Yucatán peninsula.
Residence Inn Merida offers an appealing new accommodation option to travellers visiting the increasingly popular city of Mérida.
Mérida welcomes Residence Inn by Marriott
The city of Mérida on the Yucatán peninsula has benefited from a wave of inward investment in recent years, positioning it as one of Mexico’s most prominent commercial hubs. So perhaps it’s no surprise that Marriott International has identified a spot in the north of the city as the perfect location for its first Residence Inn-branded hotel in the country.
Arturo Cruz, sales director of Residence Inn Merida, said: “Mérida has been recognised as one of the best cities to live in and has gradually become an economic force for the country by opening up national and international investment opportunities. The spacious suites with separate living, working and sleeping zones and fully functional kitchens will help guests maximise their time and thrive while they travel.”
What to expect from Residence Inn Merida
Above all, Residence Inn properties offer visitors flexibility and freedom. The spacious suites at the 151-key Residence Inn Merida are fully equipped with kitchens, living areas and movable furniture, which guests can arrange as best suits them.
Residents can even bring their pets with them, and there’s a complimentary grocery-delivery service, as well as a 24-hour market and state-of-the-art fitness centre. Meanwhile, business travellers can take advantage of the almost 80 sq m of flexible meeting and event space, which can hold up to 50 guests at a time.
