Equinox Resort Amaala is the latest addition to the portfolio of hotels set to be a part of Red Sea Global’s regenerative tourism destination, Amaala.

The first hotel brand to have been announced for the Amaala development’s exclusive Amaala Marina Village, Equinox places the focus on sports, fitness and lifestyle.

A new wellness destination

The developer behind Amaala and The Red Sea projects in Saudi Arabia, Red Sea Global (RSG), has announced plans to bring Equinox Hotels to its Amaala development.

Equinox Resort Amaala will provide an integrated wellness retreat featuring some of the world’s best known luxury brands in what is being called one of the world’s most well-preserved natural environments, the Red Sea in Saudi Arabia.

John Pagano, group CEO of Red Sea Global said: “Amaala brings the best in health and wellness together in an area of extraordinary natural beauty to offer exceptional and transformative experiences for guests.

“Equinox’s unique brand of luxury and fitness is a fantastic fit, allowing visitors to choose seeking self-improvement during their stay, getting back to nature on land or at sea, or simply enjoying quiet moments with loved ones in comfort and privacy.”

Christopher Norton, Equinox Hotels CEO, commented: “Amaala is a destination that perfectly aligns with our mission of redefining luxury hospitality.”

“Our highly differentiated resort offering will provide guests an unparalleled experience that only a brand like Equinox can deliver. We’re excited to partner with an amazing developer like Red Sea Global that has similar and strong values rooted in sustainability.”

A rich lifestyle offering

The 128-key resort focusing on sports, fitness and lifestyle will encompass an array of luxury facilities including world-class culinary concepts, a spa and magnesium salt rooftop pool, a beach club and the brand’s signature Equinox Fitness Club.

This property will be a part of the Foster + Partners designed Amaala Marine Village, which is a part of the Triple Bay development, consisting of luxury hotels, villas and condominiums, along with the outlets of international retail and dining brands and the Triple Bay Yacht Club.

Just like the Village it’s a part of, the Equinox resort will be designed by Foster + Partners, ensuring complete connectivity with its surroundings and offering views over Hijaz Cove.

Guests will be met with a dramatic covered entrance before entering space featuring four open courtyards designed to have a cooling effect. Guestrooms, which include penthouses, have been designed to make the most of the cove or marina views.

Triple Bay is the first phase of Amaala and is scheduled to begin welcoming guests in 2024.
