Radisson welcomes exciting new property in Grand Rapids

A 162-key property in one of Michigan’s largest cities has become the latest addition to Radisson Hotel Group’s rapidly growing US portfolio.
The new Radisson Hotel Grand Rapids Riverfront has started welcoming guests through its doors. Benefitting from a superb location, it’s likely to appeal to both business and leisure travellers.
Radisson makes a splash in Grand Rapids
Radisson Hotel Group’s eponymous upscale hotel brand has successfully landed in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with the introduction of a stylish property overlooking the Grand River.
It’s conveniently located only two miles from the city’s downtown area and near the DeltaPlex Arena & Conference Center, just a 20-minute drive from the international airport. The Radisson hotel also offers a shuttle service for guests who wish to check out amenities within a three-mile radius, taking the hassle out of getting around.
Suresh Patel, CHO, director of Operations at GR Hospitality, said: “As a new era of travel is on the horizon, our hotel is perfectly positioned to provide all our guests a great economic option when looking for an upscale stay. Our gorgeous location, exceptional amenities and dedicated team is guaranteed to make an unforgettable visit to Grand Rapids.”
A carefully considered upscale offering
Radisson Hotel Grand Rapids Riverfront boasts 162 well-appointed guest rooms and suites, many of which benefit from generous views of the river. The suites are ideal for longer stays, as they have more space, plus a handy kitchenette and welcoming living room.
The hotel’s amenities include a business centre, fitness centre, pool and hot-tub area, as well as the River Rock Restaurant & Lounge, which has its own tempting sun deck. And business travellers can avail themselves of the Grand River Ballroom, a flexible event space accommodating up to 180 attendees, complete with an outdoor patio overlooking the river.
“As we jumpstart a new year after navigating the challenges the hospitality industry faced in 2020, we are excited and optimistic about the future of travel,” said Aly El-Bassuni, chief operating officer for the Americas at Radisson Hotel Group. “We are thrilled to open the doors of this remarkable hotel offering a unique destination for those planning a staycation or for out-of-town leisure or business travellers. Along with the excellent team at GR Hospitality, we strive to make memorable moments for all our guests visiting the Grand Rapids area.”
