The five-star Radisson Blu Hotel, Cluj is now welcoming its first guests in Transylvania’s capital city, Cluj-Napoca.

The new property promises a luxurious stay combining spacious accommodation with modern amenities for both business and leisure travellers.

A transformed location

Radisson Blu Hotel, Cluj is now open in the capital of Romania’s central Transylvania region. Cluj-Napoca is Romania’s second largest city and one that’s becoming increasingly known for its artistic vibe, cafés and green spaces, as well as music festivals.

The new hotel is located in the central-western part of the city. The property opened following the two-year renovation and conversion of a 1980s hotel to turn it into this modern upper-upscale Radisson Blu property.

The property was given a new design concept that draws on the location of the hotel and its surrounding history and nature. The hotel is now home to facilities including restaurants, a bar and fitness space.

A base for business and leisure travellers

Guests are now accommodated in 149 rooms offering views over the city and Central Park. Family rooms come with an additional sofa bed and the presidential suite encompasses a separate living room and dining area along with amenities including the luxurious bathroom’s aromatherapy shower.

The hotel’s Lobby Bar provides a space for enjoying coffees and snacks or a business lunch and the hotel’s restaurant The Park offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a space incorporating a terrace. The hotel’s Japanese restaurant, Hikari, serves Japanese specialties in a space overlooking Central Park.

Events are then hosted in five meeting rooms accommodating up to 60 people and a ballroom for up to 300 guests. The hotel has also partnered with the adjacent BTarena, sometimes known as Polyvalent Hall, to provide external event space for up to 10,000 people.

Commenting on the opening, George Miu, general manager of the hotel, said: “We are excited to open the first Radisson Blu hotel in Transylvania in vibrant Cluj and are thrilled to welcome our first guests this summer. With our attention to detail and personalised service, each stay with us is sure to be a memorable experience.”
