Now into its second decade of development, Radisson's Prize brand has just added a hotel in the Polish city of Wroclaw

Radisson Hotel Group has opened its second Prize by Radisson hotel in Poland, as it seeks to expand the lifestyle brand across Europe.

The 208 room Prize by Radisson Wroclaw is set within the 212 metre tall Wroclaw Sky Tower, joining an existing property which has traded since 2016 in Gdansk. Guests can enjoy dramatic views across the city, from the hotel’s floor to ceiling windows. When booking, there’s a choice of regular Design rooms, or a larger family room with more flexible sleeping options.

A Design-Led Brand

Tom Flanagan Karttunen, chief operating officer for Radisson’s leased hotels in Europe, explained the brand concept: “Prize by Radisson was made for travellers who want strong design, genuine hospitality and the freedom to explore a city their own way.” There are now 20 Prize hotels across Europe.

The brand is set for further expansion, with four pipeline hotels, of which three will open during 2027. The first of these will represent the UK launch for Prize, with a former Campanile hotel in Glasgow converted to become Prize by Radisson SEC Campus Glasgow. The revitalised property will have 163 rooms, and is being transformed by the owners of the existing Radisson RED in the city.

The Prize brand was originally devised in Germany and launched in 2006 as Prizeotel, with its first hotel opening in Bremen in 2009. Radisson agreed to acquire a 49% stake in the brand in 2016, supporting its faster growth across central Europe. Three years later, Radisson completed acquisition of the brand, and in 2024 a subtle change saw the name migrate to Prize by Radisson.

Germany is a major focus for growth, with further openings in Berlin and Bremen next year. The Berlin property will have 278 rooms, and is located in Berlin’s Prenzlauer Berg district. Prize by Radisson Bremen City is in fact the refurbishment of an existing hotel operating under the brand’s previous incarnation, as Prizeotel Bremen.

Looking further ahead, and in 2028 the group will add Prize by Radisson Herbolzheim. This will be a new build with 134 rooms, in the southwestern German city.

Painting Europe Red and Blu

Across Europe, Radisson has a strong pipeline of hotels coming, across its brand portfolio. Radisson Red, its younger, playful brand, will shortly open Radisson Red Berlin Potsdamer Platz and a 109 room hotel in Athens, Greece. Into 2027 this will be joined by Radisson RED Porto Gaia, as the brand expands in the Iberian region. The brand will also launch in Malaga, Huddersfield and at Edgbaston stadium later in the year.

The Radisson Blu brand is also growing across new territories. In spring 2027, it will launch Radisson Blu Grand Mountain Resort in Brasov, Romania; plus the 150 room Radisson Blu Resort Mani in Greece. Later in the year, Radisson Blu Hotel & Resort Kolasin will be added, representing a new destination for the group in Montenegro.
