The new Radisson Hotel Istanbul Sultanahmet has 28 luxurious rooms

Two new Radisson hotels have opened their doors in Istanbul, meaning Radisson Hotel Group now has 16 properties spread out across Turkey’s largest city.

Radisson Hotel Istanbul Sultanahmet and Radisson Hotel President Beyazit Istanbul are the latest additions to Radisson’s fast-growing portfolio.

We find out more about these two fascinating hotels.

Stunning new destinations in Istanbul

Radisson Hotel Istanbul Sultanahmet overlooks the Sea of Marmara from within the historic walls of Istanbul. It has 28 elegant rooms, an Anatolian-style restaurant and the Marmara Cafe & Bar, which all boast splendid sea views.

The property’s meeting and event facilities include a stunning 19th-century Ottoman-French meeting room and historical ballroom, which promises to be the ideal venue for hosting extravagant weddings, dinners and other celebrations.

Modern luxury in the historical city centre

Radisson Hotel President Beyazit Istanbul, meanwhile, is close to the centre of old Istanbul, which abounds with historic sites and cultural attractions including museums, churches, palaces, mosques and bazaars.

The hotel features 201 modern rooms and suites, plus five onsite restaurants and bars offering international as well as local Turkish dishes, which should satisfy even the most discerning palates. Guests can exercise to a backdrop of stunning seascapes in the modern fitness centre and refuel in the health club after a busy day of exploring.

Radisson’s expansion plans in Turkey

Radisson continues to expand rapidly in Turkey; currently, 30 hotels and over 4,500 rooms are in operation and under development, but the company’s plan is to grow this to more than 50 hotels and 10,000 rooms within the next three to five years. The group is also one of the leading hotel operators in Istanbul, with 16 properties in total.

Yilmaz Yildirimlar, Radisson Hotel Group’s area senior vice president, Central & Eastern Europe, Russia and Turkey, said: “We are proud to open two new hotels in Istanbul’s most in-demand historic location.

“In addition to Istanbul’s unique cultural background and numerous attractions, our ongoing investment and expansion highlight Turkey’s importance as a key development market for Radisson Hotel Group. We look forward to further expanding our Turkish portfolio.”
