Radisson Hotel Group and Crown Regency Hotels & Resorts have agreed a deal for a new five star resort on the island of Panglao, the Philippines.

Crown Regency Grand Paradise Resort Bohol will be a member of Radisson Individuals, RHG’s affiliation brand.

Lakeside setting

Spanning across 2.9 hectares, the new resort will command a lakeside setting, close to several sandy beaches on Panglao in Bohol province.

With a large inventory of accommodation and extensive facilities, including a state-of-the-art convention centre, this landmark resort is set to open new frontiers in the country’s tourism sector to support future growth in corporate events and international group segments.

Festival homage

Crown Regency Grand Paradise Resort Bohol is targeted for opening in Q3 2025 and will feature 558 bright, spacious, locally-inspired rooms and suites with lake or forest views.

The resort, designed by Palafox and Associates, is inspired by ‘Pahinungod’, a Visayan term which represents dedication and offering, and pays homage to the festival in Bohol of the same name.

Interiors reflect local artistry and craftsmanship, an ode to Filipino heritage and culture while reflecting warm tones and contemporary tropical elements.

Full facilities

Each of the ground floor rooms feature direct access to the resort’s pools, while a collection of eight standalone villas will immerse visitors in a private sanctuary.

Facilities will comprise tropical outdoor pools, a spa, a fitness centre and diverse food and beverage venues, including an all-day dining destination, a specialty Chinese restaurant, a 1950s-themed bar, a lobby lounge and a pool bar.

Mammoth meetings

The resort will offer a 900 sq m convention centre, a large-scale MICE venue in Panglao. This 1,500-person venue will be complemented by a 400 sq m ballroom and three smaller meeting spaces.

The resort is also conveniently located close to the bridge that connects Panglao with neighbouring Bohol Island, a designated UNESCO Global Geopark which is home to the Chocolate Hills.

Rich potential

Ramzy Fenianos, chief development officer, Asia Pacific, Radisson Hotel Group, said: “We are excited to sign this exceptional resort, which marks another important milestone in our expansion strategy in the Philippines. Panglao is a market with rich potential and holds an abundance of beach island destinations.

“Partnering with a renowned local developer like Crown Regency Hotels & Resorts is certainly a strong vote of confidence in our brands and this landmark project will contribute to the development of the island’s tourism sector as we continue to introduce market-relevant brands to support owners and developers.”

Local personality

Susan Bernado, chief operating officer, Crown Regency Hotels & Resorts, commented: “We are delighted to work with Radisson Hotel Group – a leading hospitality company with a strong track record in the Philippines.

“Radisson Hotel Group’s white-label opportunity allows us to retain the resort’s distinct local personality while also tapping into its strong global network and distribution to elevate our international presence. The new Crown Regency Grand Paradise Resort Bohol, a member of Radisson Individuals, will soon become a landmark property for the Philippines and we look forward to a successful relationship with Radisson Hotel Group.”

Philippine pipeline

When open, Crown Regency Grand Paradise Resort Bohol, a member of Radisson Individuals joins Radisson Hotel Group’s existing portfolio of six hotels and resorts in the Philippines, comprising five Park Inn by Radisson hotels in Bacolod, Davao, Clark, Iloilo City and Metro Manila, and a Radisson Blu resort in Cebu City.

The group’s national pipeline includes Fridays Boracay, A Radisson Collection Resort, due to deliver 110 keys on Borocay’s west coast in Q2 2026; and a Cebu duo arriving in 2027, the 300-room Park Inn by Radisson Cebu City and the 216-key Radisson Hotel Cebu City.
