Radisson Individuals is a new conversion brand, designed to enable independent hotels and local chains to benefit from being part of the global Radisson Hotel Group platform.

Radisson Hotel Group, which has more than 1,400 hotels in operation and under development across 120 countries, has unveiled its latest brand. We find out more about the concept behind Radisson Individuals.

A brand with individuality

Reflecting the brand’s name, Radisson Individuals will showcase hotels selected for their distinctive character and personality. However, each property will also be expected to deliver the high service and quality standards of Radisson Hotel Group.

“The launch of Radisson Individuals marks another milestone in our ambitious five-year transformation plan to be recognised as one of the top three hotel brands in the world and the brand of choice for owners, guests and talent,” said Federico J Gonzalez, CEO of Radisson Hotel Group. “We created Radisson Individuals in response to the evolving demands of the modern market for both hotel owners and guests.

“Joining Radisson Individuals is an ideal first step for individual hotels with strong service scores who wish to remain independent or may be considering transitioning to one of our successful core brands, as well as a strong proposition for local, regional hotel brands seeking to explore additional distribution channels and/or co-branding options.”

Individual hotels benefitting from Radisson’s immense reach

The brand gives hotels the opportunity to enhance their visibility and access a wider audience, while benefiting from IT and revenue platforms, comprehensive operation systems and the reputation of a hotel group that’s trusted by millions of guests worldwide.

Hotels interested in joining the brand must first undertake a compliance assessment focusing on SGS health and safety compliance, Online Index evaluated through their GRI, Fire & Life Safety and ability to connect to Radisson Hotel Group’s main operating systems. New members will also receive training on Radisson’s “Yes, I can!” service philosophy and achieve a GRI score above 80% GRI score to ensure the highest service quality standards are met.

“Radisson Individuals offers owners the necessary flexibility to shape their future and ensure their success by joining Radisson Hotel Group,” said Elie Younes, executive vice president and chief development officer for Radisson Hotel Group. “It is a unique approach where each affiliated hotel measures success and standards based on the online scoring from guests. In simple terms, it is a brand for hotels with a proven record of happy guests.”

Ahead of the launch, a number of undisclosed hotels in the UK and Asia have joined the brand, with properties in Italy, Germany, Russia and beyond also in advanced discussions.

Radisson expands across EMEA

At the same time, Radisson Hotel Group has revealed that it signed ten hotels across EMEA in Q3 2020. These signings, which are in the UK, Italy, Ukraine, Germany, Egypt and Nigeria, add to the 15 announced in Q2 2020, reaffirming the group’s ambitious five-year development plan.
