Radisson Hotel Group enters Madagascar with signing of 3 hotels
Radisson Hotel Group’s newest property to debut in Madagascar
The company is currently on track to reach 130 hotels in Africa with 23,000 total rooms by the year 2022.
The Radisson Hotel Group has now extended its footprint in Africa into Madagascar with the signing of a portfolio of three hotels in the Indian Ocean territory.
This is a significant signing for the company, which is now present in 32 African markets.
The acquisition of the three properties, which was part of an agreement with Groupe Talys, will give the company a total of 254 new rooms in Madagascar.
This agreement consists of two conversion projects and a third property under construction, all of which have debuts scheduled for 2020.

Promising outlook in Africa
Madagascar is a country renowned around the world for its vast natural beauty, but Radisson is most interested in the ongoing growth of its holdings in Africa.

Radisson Blu Hotel, Antananarivo Waterfront in Madagascar
This first hotel consists of 168 total rooms, with 121 standard rooms, 26 junior suites and 21 executive suites.
There are ample food and beverage facilities, including an all-day dining restaurant, a rooftop destination restaurant, and a rooftop bar which overlooks the city. There will also be an Internet cafe which can serve as a co-working space.
Further amenities include a fitness room and an indoor swimming pool. For those hosting events, there will be a 585-square-meter area consisting of one conference area and six meeting rooms.
Once completed, this hotel will be the newest in the city, with Radisson marketing it as an exclusive venue in a very secure location.
Radisson Hotel Antananarivo Waterfront in Madagascar
Next up is the Radisson Hotel Antananarivo Waterfront in Madagascar.
This property will feature 30 upscale rooms mixed among standard and business class accommodation.
It will also feature food and beverage options, such as an all-day restaurant and a bar. The hotel’s host of amenities include a water garden, a sun deck and an outdoor swimming pool.
