The hotel, which appeals to both business and leisure travellers alike, will be a completely new offering in Niger, given that it will be the country’s first five-star branded hotel.
Tim Cordon, Area Senior Vice President, Middle East & Africa, Radisson Hotel Group, said, “We are delighted to open our first hotel in Niamey, the capital and largest city of the West African country Niger.”
He went on to say that “The Radisson Blu Hotel & Conference Center, Niamey will enhance the local hotel landscape as the country’s first and only five-star internationally branded hotel. The hotel is a perfect addition to our Radisson Blu portfolio, the fastest growing hotel brand in Africa and our fast-growing African portfolio.”
Amenities and services at Niamey’s finest address
The new Radisson Blu property boasts 189 rooms and suites which are in keeping with Radisson’s brand standards and the latest trends in hospitality design which meet the demands of the contemporary traveller.
While the design conforms to international guidelines, there are lots of local flourishes and touches to create a sense of place and remind visitors they are in Niger.
Business travellers will be more than satisfied with the hotel’s conference and meeting facilities, which are the first and largest of their kind in the country.
Eight meeting rooms and over 1000m2 of flexible space for conferences, meetings and events set the hotel apart and will provide some essential space within the city.
As far as F&B goes, there are several bars and restaurants to choose from. The Al Mina restaurant offers international cuisine in all-day dining, the Lobby Lounge is ideal for a quick coffee, and the New York Restaurant & Bar is open all day and all night for guests’ every need.
The iconic Zaxi Rooftop Lounge & Bar provides views over the city and river, and guests can relax and rejuvenate at the Lotus Spa Health & Beauty Center.
