Quorum Hospitality has added the Hilton Garden Inn Kauai Wailua Bay to its list of managed properties. The hotel is located along the mouth of the Wailua River on Kauai’s Coconut Coast, a few minutes from Kapaa town and under five miles from Lihue Airport. The location puts guests within reach of both ends of the island, from Hanalei Bay and Princeville in the north to Waimea Canyon and the Na Pali Coast in the west.
The property covers 17 acres and includes 216 rooms, including a set of suites and 26 beachfront cottages. Ownership of the hotel rests with Continental Assets Management, and the two companies will now work together on day-to-day operations as well as longer-term plans for the property.

What to Expect On-Site
The hotel offers both recreation and cultural programming aimed at giving guests a sense of island life beyond the usual pool and beach routine. Amenities include:
- Two outdoor pools, a fitness center, and complimentary beach gear
- Ukulele lessons, hula classes, and lei-making workshops
- Mamahune’s Tiki Bar, a poolside restaurant serving Hawaii-style dishes and cocktails with bay views
- A traditional Hawaiian luau held three nights a week, with live music and island food
- Five indoor and outdoor event spaces, including oceanfront settings used for weddings and meetings
The tiki bar has built a following among locals, not just hotel guests, according to the release. The luau and cultural classes are meant to give visitors some hands-on exposure to Hawaiian traditions during their stay, rather than just a beach vacation with island scenery in the background.
Renovations Planned for Early 2027
Quorum’s team said it plans to draw on its existing experience in the Hawaii hotel market as it takes over operations. Capital improvements are on the schedule, with renovations to guest rooms and common areas scheduled to begin in early 2027. Specific details on the scope and budget of the renovation work were not included in the announcement.
