QDOS PROVIDES CLOUD-BASED TELECOM SOLUTIONS FOR EUROPES NEWEST HOTEL BRAND

DOS Communications are delighted to have provided Cloud-based Telecoms solutions for Europe’s newest hotel brand, Moxy Hotels. Designed to capture the rapidly emerging millennial tech-savvy traveller, the new brand combines contemporary design and approachable service.

The MOXY philosophy is to “reinvent traditional hospitality with lively communal spaces and an energetic crew that helps fun-hunting guests enjoy themselves whether at work or play”. This is reflected in the contemporary, bold interior featuring floor to ceiling artwork, a signature pink punch bag and photo-booth inspired lifts.

This lively new brand has been developed by Marriott International and Belvar, a hotel management and development company and client of QDOS Communications. Within the next few years the number of Belvar operated Moxy Hotels will grow rapidly and spread through Europe. The projects initially supported by QDOS are as follows.

     164 bedroom MOXY London Excel

     200 bedroom Moxy Aberdeen Airport

     176 bedroom MOXY Frankfurt Eschborn

     210 room MOXY Berlin Ostbahnhof

With a young and tech-savvy target audience, and communal interaction at the heart of the MOXY guest experience, it is vital that the hotels are equipped with the very latest in IT and Telecoms solutions. The brief to QDOS was to provide an easy to manage communications platform that would meet Marriott ‘IT Brand Standards’, and the lofty expectations of the millennial traveller, whilst at the same time give busy hotel staff a flexible and mobile solution to answering calls, managing back office tasks and service requests. 

The QDOS project management team oversaw installation of Mitel MiCloud Hospitality platforms at the hotels, reducing on-property complexity, simplifying support and eliminating costly upgrades. The Mitel MiCloud Hospitality platform provides the cutting-edge hospitality capabilities that the Moxy Hotels need to meet Marriott ‘IT Brand Standards’, delivered as a service from the cloud for one monthly subscription price.

The Mitel MiCloud Hospitality platform helps staff focus on guest experience and operational efficiency whilst freeing them from their workstations. Mobility features, cordless, wireless and mobile devices keep staff in contact regardless of location.

The installation of SpectraLink 8400 VoWLAN series handsets deliver on a fundamental need for enterprise-grade on-site voice mobility. Characterised by market-leading Polycom HD Voice quality, durability, and broad telephony and WLAN interoperability, SpectraLink 8400 handsets deliver a reliable user experience and predictable return on investment.
