Accor and the Abu Dhabi Tourism Investment Company have announced the signing of Sofitel Legend Pyramids Giza in Egypt, a property in an enviable location with unrivalled views of the famed pyramids.

Set to open in late 2027, this exceptional property showcases Accor’s commitment to Egypt, further cementing the brand’s position as a luxury industry leader within the region.

A new frontier for luxury hotels

The new Sofitel Legend Pyramids Giza will become the eighth Sofitel Legend hotel, a brand which is part of Sofitel, one of Accor’s signature brands.

Sofitel Legend Pyramids Giza will be positioned just 500 meters from the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), and provide guests with easy access to one of the most anticipated cultural attractions in the world.

The GEM is a recently finished museum which is set to house the world’s largest collection of Egyptian antiquities, including the complete collection of treasures from King Tutankhamun’s tomb. GEM will showcase Egypt’s rich history but also contribute significantly to the region’s tourism, making Sofitel Legend Pyramids Giza an ideal base for cultural exploration.

Additionally, most of the hotel’s rooms will offer picturesque views of the Pyramids.

The hotel will be the second Sofitel Legend in Egypt, joining Sofitel Legend Old Cataract in Aswan. The other hotels in the brand’s portfolio include Sofitel Legend Casco Viejo in Panama City, Panama; Sofitel Legend Santa Clara in Cartagena, Colombia; Sofitel Legend Metropole in Hanoi, Vietnam; Sofitel Legend People’s Grand in Xi’an, China; and the newly announced Sofitel Legend The Mozart in Prague in Czech Republic scheduled to open in 2027.

The 303-key property will include a high-end spa and fitness centre, and infinity pools, while a collection of restaurants, including an all-day dining venue and three speciality dining options, will offer cuisine overlooking the pyramids.

A Strategic Partnership with ADTIC

ADTIC, a pioneer in Egypt’s tourism and hospitality sector since 1988, brings significant expertise in developing landmark hotels in prime locations.

This new project aligns with ADTIC’s commitment to creating distinguished properties that capture the essence of their settings while delivering world-class hospitality.

Through this collaboration, Accor and ADTIC are aiming to redefine luxury travel in Cairo, strengthening Egypt’s tourism appeal for both domestic and international travellers.

Xavier Grange, Sofitel Legend’s Chief Development Officer, said the brand envisions expanding the portfolio to 15 properties within the next five years.

“And we are on track to achieve this ambitious objective,” he added.

“We look forward to partnering with ADTIC to serve the ever-evolving global luxury traveller in Egypt.”
