The launch of a 213-key Pullman property represents the first international premium branded hotel in Yueyang, a vibrant trading hub on the Yangtze River.

The Pullman Yueyang is now welcoming guests to the heart of this ancient Chinese city in Hunan, offering convenient access to popular tourist destinations, the region’s only international trade port and a major airport. We find out more about this stunning property.

Panoramic views and a warm welcome

Pullman Yueyang offers 213 elegant rooms and suites, many of which feature balconies overlooking Dongting Lake.

The beautiful natural surroundings are reflected in the rooms whose design and decor evoke images of water and forests. In addition, warm hues of yellow and red create a welcoming atmosphere, inviting guests to really take their time and relax.

Gary Rosen, chairman and chief operating officer, Accor Greater China, said: “Pullman Yueyang, as the only internationally renowned premium branded hotel in the city of Yueyang, will help accelerate the development of the city’s business sector with unique brand concept and facilities to support meetings, conferences and events.

“The hotel will further reinforce Pullman’s hallmark such as Art at Play that enhances guest enjoyment of great work-life balance through outstanding creative experiences, regardless of whether they are for business or pleasure. Pullman Yueyang will blend in beautifully with the cultural scene of this remarkable and historically significant destination.”

Upscale facilities for business and leisure travellers

For Pullman’s 39th property in Greater China, a variety of dining options have been included that cater to even the most demanding palates.

A lakeside all-day-dining restaurant offers a sumptuous buffet for breakfast and dinner decked out with local and international favourites, and five private dining rooms are available for business dinners or intimate family gatherings. Plus, two lounges provide light snacks and comfortable armchairs for residents to watch the sunset from.

Bringing Pullman’s Meet & Play concept to life

The presence of 2,800 sq m of versatile meeting and event spaces should make the Pullman ideal for everything from large corporate gatherings and board meetings to weddings. And state-of-the-art electronic equipment will enable event organisers to realise even their most daring ideas.

Apart from the indoor areas, a manicured lawn by the pool provides the perfect setting for a cocktail reception or poolside wedding. Guests can further relax in the wellness area or by the 2,000 sq m pool complex, which includes a heated indoor pool and a pool for kids. Those who wish to stay fit on the road, meanwhile, are able to hit the gym, complete with a wide range of machines and free weights.

Stephen Li, general manager at Pullman Yueyang, said: “The hotel is an intriguing blend of Yueyang’s thousands-year-old charm with Pullman’s contemporary and cosmopolitan flair. Our advanced and spacious MICE offerings with Pullman’s Meet & Play concept are second to none in the local market.

“With Yueyang as the second largest city in Hunan, an increasing number of national and provincial-level conferences and major events are held regularly in the city. Our hotel’s fully equipped multifunctional conference spaces make the hotel many event planners’ first choice. Moreover, Pullman Yueyang is a great addition to Yueyang market for both leisure and business travellers.”
