A 253-room newbuild resort occupying an attractive spot on the Andaman Coast in southern Thailand has started welcoming guests.

Accor is celebrating the opening of Pullman Khao Lak Resort on Bang Muang Beach in the Phang Nga province of Thailand. The property fuses local culture and traditions with a healthy lifestyle offering perfect for the modern traveller.

A feast for the senses

The latest addition to Pullman’s portfolio, Pullman Khao Lak Resort offers guests a plethora of thoughtfully designed spaces.

Pullman prides itself on creating destinations that encourage healthy living, and this well-located beachfront resort certainly does just that. From rain showers in the open-concept bathrooms and balconies that connect visitors with nature to the nutritious options in the F&B outlets, the brand’s clear philosophy shines through time and again.

Garth Simmons, chief executive officer of Accor in Southeast Asia, Japan and South Korea, said: “The opening of Pullman Khao Lak Resort is our eighth Pullman property in Thailand, joining a collection of hotels and resorts that are focused on fuelling success by inspiring the mind and energising the body.

“Phang Nga is famous for its natural beauty and pristine beaches so we are excited to debut such a vibrant resort here. Pullman Khao Lak Resort will feature immersive art and design, offer up smart interactions between guests and staff, allow guests to stay on top of their game with exciting fitness offerings, and serve up a happening array of F&B concepts.”

Contemporary hospitality meets local tradition

The hotel’s aesthetic is influenced by the Sino-Portuguese design of the nearby Takua Pa Old Town and the property is full of local artworks and handicrafts.

In terms of accommodation, there’s an array of different room formats for guests to choose between, including 44 sq m Deluxe Rooms, 62 sq m Family Suites, 88 sq m Presidential Suites and two-bedroom pool villas. Fitness fanatics, meanwhile, will find everything they are looking for at the 24-hour Pullman Fit facility and the 1,400 sq m freeform swimming pool – or they can take it easy at the rejuvenating Rosalyn Spa, complete with a hammam bath experience.

There are a number of F&B outlets onsite: the all-day Plai Dining Room, the trendy Kram Beach Club, the flexible lobby space The Junction, and the socially minded The Hub Pool. And business guests can avail themselves of a dynamic collection of event, meeting and breakout spaces.

“We are really excited to welcome guests to Pullman Khao Lak Resort for the first time,” said Hervé Duprat, general manager of Pullman Khao Lak Resort. “This resort sets the new standard in Khao Lak for travel and living, with our team on hand to deliver a unique and seamless experience for entrepreneurs and travellers seeking more than just a beach escape. Our unique offering of premium accommodation, food and beverage outlets, resort facilities and events spaces really allows visitors to connect with Khao Lak while offering an innovative take on the traditional resort experience.”
