The 100-storey Waldorf Astoria-branded scheme, made up of nine stacked glass cubes overlooking Biscayne Bay, has scooped our much-coveted Project of the Week title.
This remarkable structure promises to transform Miami’s skyline.
A new Miami landmark
Currently in the planning process and expected to debut in early 2025, Waldorf Astoria Hotel & Residences Miami is a collaboration between Marriott International, Greybrook Realty Partners, PMG Development, Mohari Hospitality and S2 Development. The newbuild property’s striking architecture comes courtesy of Sieger Suarez Architects and Carlos Ott, while Bamo is behind the interior design and EGS2 is responsible for the landscape design.
This proposed landmark at 300 Biscayne Boulevard will soar 100 storeys and 1,049 ft high. Home to Waldorf Astoria Residences as well as a luxury hotel by the same brand, it’s expected to become the tallest residential building south of New York City.
Delivering a luxury lifestyle offering
The skyscraper will comprise nine spiralling offset glass cubes offering far-reaching and unobstructed views of Biscayne Bay. There’ll be 205 guestrooms and suites in the five-star Waldorf Astoria hotel, along with 360 private residences.
Amenities within this one-of-a-kind structure will include the Peacock Alley restaurant, a resort-style pool deck with private cabanas, and a spa and fitness centre. And events will be hosted across indoor and outdoor pre-function and function spaces.
