The 96-room Waldorf Astoria Bali will soon welcome guests to its magnificent cliff-side setting in one of South-East Asia’s most popular destinations.
Luxury travellers the world over will shortly have another resort to add to their bucket list, Waldorf Astoria Bali. We take a closer look at this property set on the Indonesian island’s southernmost peninsula.
An exclusive hideaway
Set in the exclusive Bukit Pandawa precinct in the south, Waldorf Astoria Bali will offer guests a new level of privacy and luxury. This villa-only property will feature 96 spacious bungalows ranging from one-bedroom to six-bedroom options, each boasting stunning views of the deep-blue ocean.
SCDA Architects of Singapore has gone with clean lines and a simple colour palette of natural tones to create a feeling of sophistication and contemporary luxury. It also deliberately reinterpreted the typical ‘Balinese style’ found in so many nearby hotels to really set the Waldorf Astoria apart from the crowd.
Luxurious facilities perched on a cliff
To provide guests with everything their hearts desire, Hilton and developer PT Bali Ragawisata have created a spectacular offering. Spread across 13 hectares, the hotel’s facilities are housed in dedicated pavilions.
The arrival pavilion sits atop the hill, welcoming guests with views of the horizon. From there, winding paths will lead visitors to the spa, dining and event venues, which each reflect the resort’s modern yet relaxing style in their own way. Meanwhile, an elaborate water feature will make its way around the resort and guide visitors from one place to the next.
Waldorf Astoria Bali’s facilities will include two speciality restaurants and a destination bar, a spa and health club, a sea-facing pool, an 8,000 sq m private beach and a wedding lawn and function rooms. The property is due to open in late 2020.
