Colombo’s “city within a city” set to become the heart of modern Sri Lanka

Luxury new build project in a mixed-use development in Sri Lanka’s capital Colombo will be a hive of activity, entertainment and hospitality. Colombo waits with bated breath

Thrilling design

This expansive complex is taking form on Colombo’s Slave Island, the area around the city’s natural harbour. Situated on and overlooking a bend in the docklands’ waterway, the architecture of this development is one of the most exciting things about it. A collection of glazed towers surround a sculptural fin of accommodation, out of which jutt a series of cantilevered and supported boxes that sail over a built up plinth below. The development will redefine Colombo’s skyline, and its 10 acres of integrated spaces will attract visitors from far and wide.
