A part of the exciting Uptown Dubai development, SO/ Uptown Dubai is our latest Project of the Week.

Housed within a building inspired by the shape and light of a diamond, SO/ Uptown will stand out for its striking design.

A new landmark

Currently expected to reach completion in the first quarter of 2023, SO/ Uptown Dubai will place guests within the architecturally impressive Uptown Tower, connected to Uptown Dubai’s Central Plaza and providing uninterrupted views over the Dubai skyline.

This tower promises to become a landmark addition to the Dubai skyline with the contemporary architecture of Adrian Smith, who designed the Burj Khalifa while he was Design Partner at SOM Chicago, and Gordon Gill Architecture.

Overall, the development, which is conceptualised as a 24-hour neighbourhood, will encompass an array of dining venues, high-end retail outlets, hotels, residences and businesses, as well as a central entertainment plaza.

Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) is the developer behind this major development seeking to transform the way people live, work and be entertained.

Fashion inspiration

SO/ Uptown Dubai will accommodate guests in 188 luxurious rooms and suites, which will be joined by an array of five-star facilities and 215 glamorous SO/ Residences, which are to be located on the building’s upper floors.

The property will reflect the Accor brand’s glamorous fashion-led identity with amenities and services that are set apart by their fashionable twist. Residents will also have access to exclusive facilities including a residence lounge with resident DJ, a swimming pool and private fitness area.

The interiors of this property are designed by Rockwell Group. Thornton Thomasetti Dubai is then collaborating on the architectural design with Adrian Smith and Gordon Gill Architecture. Guests can expect elegant interiors that are distinguished by the style, art and energy of the locale.
