Our latest Project of the Week is coming together in Jaipur, a city long known for its palaces, forts, and royal weddings. Signia by Hilton Jaipur is now under construction, and it brings a brand that has so far been associated with big-city meeting and convention hotels to a new part of the world. The project shows how a hotel can be built around both a memorable stay and a memorable occasion, in a destination where celebrations are a major part of the draw.

The Hotel in Four Takes
The Rooms and Amenities
Guests can choose from standard rooms, executive suites, and private pool villas. The exclusive Club Signia lounge and an artificial lagoon are among the highlights. There will be four dining outlets, plus a spa, a fitness center, pools, and a kids’ club.
The Event Space
The hotel will offer more than 2,250 square meters of event space, including a 9,700-square-foot grand ballroom. The venue is designed for large meetings and events, and for the weddings and celebrations Jaipur is known for.
The Location
The site is 28 kilometers from Jaipur International Airport and has easy access to the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway (NE-4). It is about a three-hour drive from Gurugram, which makes Delhi NCR, a major domestic source market, easy to reach.
The Team
Sandeep Bakshi and Family LLP is the developer, and Eco-ID is the interior designer. Hilton will operate the hotel under its Signia by Hilton brand. “Jaipur has long been synonymous with luxury, heritage, and world-class hospitality,” said Sandeep Bakshi, Managing Partner of the developer. Akansha Bakshi, the firm’s COO, said the vision is to blend “contemporary elegance” with the city’s cultural heritage.
Why It Matters
The project is the first Signia by Hilton in Asia Pacific. It follows the brand’s opening in Amman, its first outside the United States. For Hilton, it is also a major step in India, where the company already operates Hilton Jaipur and DoubleTree by Hilton Jaipur Amer. It has also signed Waldorf Astoria Jaipur and a Conrad in the city. Clarence Tan, Hilton’s Senior Vice President of Development for Asia Pacific, said, back when the hotel was signed, that the company is now on track to more than double its luxury estate in India.
