This luxury property in Jakarta forms part of a new mixed-use development in the city.

Guest rooms, suites and residences will all be found in the brand-new Regent Jakarta complex in the capital of Indonesia.

We take a look inside this 5-star new-build hotel.

A jewel six years in the making

Way back in 2014, Regent Hotels & Resorts signed a management agreement with KG Global to manage Regent Jakarta. Now, six years later, the property, which consists of a hotel and serviced residences, is set to open later this year.

The Regent brand has been synonymous with luxury and elegance ever since its inception in the 1970s, and the Jakarta property will be no different. This 127-key hotel will be housed in the Mangkuluhur City mixed-use development in the Indonesian capital and will contain 52 rooms and 127 suites, as well as 87 private residences. The Regent accommodations will reside in a shimmering 250-metre tower, which is encased in glass to afford guests and residents unparalleled views of the city.

Upon the signing of the deal six years ago, Arjan De Boer, Regent’s Senior Vice President of Development, said, “As Regent Hotels and Resorts expands its global footprint, we continue to seek growth opportunities that align the right partners with good locations in gateway cities.”

“Regent Jakarta will reflect this combination and is an important milestone in the international growth strategy for the Regent brand. The re-introduction of the Regent in Jakarta gives us great pride and we are extremely excited about the future expansion of the brand in Indonesia,” he elaborated.

Features and amenities

According to the hotel’s website, the Regent Jakarta is “Strategically located within the Central Business District and Jakarta’s Golden triangle” and “surrounded with around-the-clock entertainment, dining, shopping, world-class health centres.”

The hotel section of the tower will benefit from three international dining options, a grand ballroom, numerous flexible meeting rooms, an exotic spa, swimming pool and a state-of-the-art fitness centre. The private serviced residences will boast three- and four-bedroom apartments, as well as a luxury penthouse with its very own private swimming pool.

In terms of its offering, the hotel is a delightful blend of intuitive Asian service with bespoke western amenities, and this can be felt in every element, from the smallest design detail to the style of customer attention.
