This recently announced hotel-and-residences development promising a ‘modern coastal California meets Florida’ approach has won our latest Project of the Week title.

The Tampa Riverwalk could soon host a spectacular waterfront scheme comprising a five-star hotel and luxury residences.

Distinct design

First announced in November 2021, Pendry Tampa and the accompanying Pendry Residences Tampa are both expected to open in the centre of the lively Tampa Riverwalk in the second quarter of 2024. Pendry Hotels & Resorts, Montage International’s luxury hospitality brand, is working in partnership with Two Roads Development to create this 37-storey property.

Exhibiting architecture by Arquitectonica – Miami and Adache Group Architects, along with the interior design of Studio Munge, the highly anticipated property will draw inspiration from Pendry’s California roots to provide a ‘modern coastal California meets Florida’ aesthetic. The design concept envisages plenty of floor-to-ceiling windows providing expansive views over the water, alongside light wood tones, Gulf Coast accents and abundant greenery.

The Pendry lifestyle

The five-star Pendry Tampa hotel will encompass 220 guestrooms, plus a three-meal restaurant, lobby bar and lounge. Guests will be able to enjoy a rooftop pool and lounge, a state-of-the-art fitness centre, Spa Pendry, Pinwheel Kids’ Club – and host events across more than 11,000 sq ft of meeting space.

The highest floors of the development will be occupied by Pendry Residences Tampa, pairing a fully serviced living experience for homeowners and access to exclusive amenities – including a residents’ rooftop pool and lounge – with the very best that the hotel has to offer.
