A luxurious development spanning 160 acres of beachfront on the southwestern tip of an idyllic island, Park Hyatt Phu Quoc has won our latest Project of the Week title.

Conceived as a sophisticated home-away-from-home with design that’s inspired by traditional Vietnamese villages, this oasis will pair extensive amenities with an enviable setting between white-sand shores and undulating hills.

Locally inspired design

In March 2019, Hyatt Hotels Corporation entered into an agreement with an affiliate of BIM Group to develop the Park Hyatt Phu Quoc hotel-and-residences scheme, which is now under construction and slated for completion in late 2022 / early 2023. The 175-room hotel will be joined by 65 residences in a picture-postcard location where biodiversity abounds.

In this luxurious setting, interiors will incorporate Vietnamese accents, and each guestroom, villa and suite will make the most of the island’s uninterrupted sea views. Development is being led by BIM Group, with architecture by AR+D, interior design by LTW Designworks and landscaping by Intaran Design.

A luxurious island oasis

Guests at this forthcoming resort will be able to enjoy two dining outlets, a bar and a poolside barbecue, as well as two swimming pools, a lakeside spa, a gym house with lap pool and the Camp Hyatt kids’ village. Moreover, events will be held across 4,300 sq ft of space, and the enclave will also be home to an organic farm.

Taking over a 160-acre expanse of beachfront land on the southwestern tip of Phu Quoc Island, this hotel-and-residences project will afford mesmerising sunset views and convenient access to the rest of the island, half of which is within the confines of the national park and Unesco World Heritage-designated Kien Giang Biosphere Reserve.

The site is a 30-minute drive from Phu Quoc International Airport and 40 minutes from the island’s main town, Duong Dong.
