Our pick for Project of the Week is Novotel’s US$93 million four star new build in the German harbour city of Hamburg which will see 830 rooms added to the banks of the River Elbe.

A trio of options

Accor will be opening three hotels under its brands Pullman, Novotel and ibis Styles, which will total 830 rooms in a mixed-use district in the south of Hamburg.

The hotels will be spread over three building complexes, each with its own individual architecture and characteristics.

In the southern part of the mixed-use district, premium brand Pullman will occupy a light-filled, open plan building with direct views of the River Elbe and the future riverside promenade.

The upper mid-range Novotel will be located just behind the Pullman hotel, while the economy brand ibis Styles will be in the centrally part of the new Uberseequartier district.

A European milestone

The combination of three different hotel brands and a total of 830 rooms makes Westfield Hamburg Überseequartier one of Accor’s largest current hotel projects.

The combination of Pullman, Novotel and ibis Styles offers the possibility to serve different target groups at the same location. The three brands can cater to different segments of the market while appealing equally to business and private travellers.
