Our pick for the coveted Project of the Week is the upcoming Nobu Hotel in Danang, the second Vietnamese venture for Robert De Niro’s hospitality brand.

A continued partnership

Nobu Hospitality is continuing its partnership with Viet Capital Real Estate (VCRE) to build a network of hotels, restaurants, and Grade A office buildings under the Nobu brand.

One of the results of this ongoing partnership is Nobu Danang, which will be the first Nobu Residences project in Southeast Asia.

The Nobu Danang is slated to open in 2025 and will have a hotel, restaurant and residences.

It will occupy part of a 43-storey tower on the My Khe beachfront, and contain 200 guest rooms, including 18 suites, as well as a wellness and fitness facility and meeting and event space.

There will also be over 250 premium condos managed by Nobu. Selected villas and penthouses will also have heated pools.

Nobu Danang is located at the prime intersection of Vo Nguyen Giap and Vo Van Kiet streets, in one of Danang’s most sought after areas.

The complex will blend high-end condos, world-class hotels, and unparalleled F&B offerings, that are set to redefine Danang’s skyline.

The project will house one of the Nobu brand’s famed restaurants, as well as other dining venues including an upscale Chinese diner, a Vietnamese fine dining and an American steakhouse.

There will also be a rooftop bar and lounge.

Danang’s new jewel

“With its stunning beaches, Danang is a natural jewel and an attractive tourist destination. Leveraging VCRE’s expertise and assistance, we hope to introduce our passion for fine dining, hotels, and restaurants to Vietnam, offering an unforgettable experience to all future patrons,” said Trevor Horwell, CEO of Nobu Hospitality.

The first Nobu restaurant opened in Tribeca in 1994, marking the beginning of a collaboration between Nobu Matsuhisa, Robert De Niro and Hollywood producer Meir Teper, best known for cult classics like ‘From Dust to Dawn’ and ‘What’s Eating Gilbert Grape’.

Today, Nobu is a chain of 77 restaurants, 41 hotels, 12 luxury real estate projects, and a global lifestyle icon with a passionate fan base and a portfolio spanning five continents.
